Managing Director
Kyaw Sein Thay Dolly, the Managing Director of Cloths "R" Us Ltd, is recognized as one of the most successful female leaders in Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry. She is also an elected board member of the Bangladesh Garments Buying House Association. In 2024, she received the country’s most prestigious business award, the DHL-Daily Star Outstanding Woman in Business Award, for her remarkable contributions to the industry.
Beyond her entrepreneurial success, Dolly is deeply committed to the development of the Rakhine Buddhist community in Bangladesh. She serves as the President of the Rakhine Buddhist Welfare Association of Bangladesh, the only government-recognized platform for the Rakhine community, based in Dhaka. Additionally, she holds the position of President of Gunameju Buddhist Temple in Cox’s Bazar, a historically significant site from which Theravāda Buddhism spread throughout Bangladesh.
She currently also serves as Chairman of the Standing Committee for Women Entrepreneurs at the Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
Dolly has amassed over 30 years of industry expertise, with the last five years as an entrepreneur. Before establishing her own business, she was the Country Director for the USA-based company MGF Sourcing, overseeing High-End USA Brand Express. Notably, she was the only individual to hold a similar position in Jakarta, Indonesia, before being transferred to Bangladesh. Prior to this, she served as Country Manager for the Dutch brand MS Mode and worked as a Divisional Manager for Phillips-Van Heusen, a US-led company. Her career began at Li & Fung, a global leader in supply chain management, where she dedicated nearly 13 years to her first professional role.
Dolly is a proud mother of two sons and hails from Cox’s Bazar. She belongs to the Buddhist Rakhine minority community in Bangladesh.
